Scalable test reports with Quali Spec - from individual parts to small series
CPT Präzisionstechnik from Chemnitz specializes in the production of high-precision CNC turned and milled parts for demanding industries such as medical technology, semiconductors and food technology. Working around the clock in three-shift operation, one thing counts above all for CPT: reliable quality – regardless of the batch size. However, the production of test reports used to be a real bottleneck, especially for prototypes and small batches.
Initial situation: Test reports as a bottleneck
Until the introduction of Quali Spec, the creation of test reports at CPT was organized completely manually. Characteristics had to be read from drawings and transferred to Excel templates by hand. This was time-consuming, error-prone – and a real time waster, especially for small series with many different components. Queries due to missing or inaccurate test reports were not only a burden on the QA department, but also on communication with customers.
The solution: Automated, fast, scalable with Quali Spec
With Quali Spec, this process could be digitized and automated in a very short time – without any changes to existing ERP or QA systems. The solution was up and running and productive within just a few days.
The integrated AI automatically recognizes dimensions, tolerances and relevant characteristics directly from the technical drawing. Inspection plans are created with a click – no manual input, no copy-paste. The inspection reports are output in the desired format for the customer – consistent, complete and standard-compliant.
The result: over 60% time savings, error-free inspection reports and scalable QA processes – whether for individual parts or series.
“Whether 10 or 100 parts – with Quali Spec, our test reports are consistent, fast and scalable. This keeps our QA team relaxed and efficient.”
Outlook: Full automation in sight
Following the successful introduction, CPT is planning the next stage: the automated transfer of batch sizes directly from the ERP system. The aim is to achieve fully digitized QA documentation – regardless of the part volume or production order. In this way, CPT is also positioning itself to meet future requirements in regulated industries in a robust and future-proof manner.
