Initial situation: Manual test reports as a weak point
Before the introduction of Quali Spec, inspection reports at JELBA were created using CAD QS – a widely used but highly manual tool. The characteristics had to be transferred individually from PDF drawings, formatted and transferred to the report. For components with many inspection characteristics, this meant an enormous amount of time, a high susceptibility to errors and regular queries from customers due to incomplete or inaccurate documentation. In the aviation and semiconductor industries in particular, this could delay approval processes – with a direct impact on the supply chain.
The solution: Digital test report generation with Quali Spec
Quali Spec was integrated into the existing IT structure within just a few days. Since then, the AI has been automatically recognizing dimensions, tolerances and standards from technical drawings and creating complete inspection plans and reports at the touch of a button – each in the customer-specific format. Manual input is completely eliminated. The result: standardized, error-free and immediately usable inspection reports that fit seamlessly into the customer’s quality processes.
The effect is clearly measurable: JELBA now produces inspection reports up to 67% faster. Thanks to automated feature extraction, the error rate is close to zero. Customers – especially OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers – receive complete, error-free documentation without queries, making the entire supply chain more stable and predictable.
