The Müller Group – with its four divisions a versatile supplier of precision technology in plastic and metal – combines manufacturing expertise in areas such as turning, milling, grinding and surface treatment. As a supplier to demanding industries such as medical technology, mechanical engineering and defense, the company is under high pressure to provide documentation and quality. Precise, seamless test reports are particularly important in the series production business in order to avoid returns and rework.
Initial situation: Time-consuming test report
Before the introduction of Quali Spec, inspection characteristics were read manually from technical drawings and transferred to Excel or Word templates – without specialized software support. This procedure was not only time-consuming, but also prone to errors: transfer errors and inconsistent reports regularly led to internal rework or queries from customers. The QA team was stretched to its limits, especially when it came to extensive test plans for large series.
The solution: Automated quality assurance with Quali Spec
With the introduction of Quali Spec, the Müller Group has completely digitalized this process – without converting existing ERP or QA systems. The AI-supported solution automatically extracts characteristics such as dimensions, tolerances or special markings from technical drawings. Inspection plans can be generated with a click and inspection reports can be output in a standardized format – without any manual data entry.
The result: Inspection reports are now created up to 70% faster and transmission errors are virtually eliminated. The QA department is noticeably relieved, as classic sources of error are eliminated and consistent documentation is possible even for large series.

Outlook: Complete digitization of test reports
Following the successful use of Quali Spec in its core business, the Müller Group is also planning to introduce the solution in other areas such as 3D printing and mold making. The aim is to create fully digitalized test reports across all locations – with consistently high quality and clearly documented processes. A key step towards greater efficiency and future viability in industrial quality assurance.
